Inspired EFT (Levels 1 & 2) Facilitation
Inspired EFT Levels 1 and 2 at BodyWise Institute are offered as personal development programs, supporting participants to develop emotional awareness, self-regulation skills and a deeper understanding of their own nervous system.
Inspired EFT
An Integrated, Mind–Body Approach to Self-Regulation
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) were developed by Gary Craig in the 1990s. Drawing on earlier work by psychologist Roger Callahan in Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Craig recognised the potential of this emerging approach and refined it into a simpler, more accessible method.
Through this process, EFT became a powerful yet practical set of techniques designed to support emotional awareness, stress regulation, and the mind–body connection. Craig made EFT widely available, believing that effective self-regulation tools should be accessible to everyone.
EFT sits within the broader field of Energy Psychology, a branch of holistic psychology that explores the relationship between emotional experience, cognition and the body’s energetic and nervous systems.
What Is Inspired EFT?
Inspired EFT represents the pinnacle of Energy Psychology, integrating decades of practice, refinement and lived experience. Drawing on more than 27 years of application, Inspired EFT has evolved beyond technique alone to emphasise presence, awareness and nervous system safety. Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, it supports a deeper understanding of how thoughts, emotions and bodily responses interact.
Inspired EFT is not about forcing change, it is about creating the conditions for regulation, insight and self-connection to emerge.
The three core foundations of Inspired EFT
Inspired EFT integrates three complementary methods that work together to support personal regulation and awareness:
-
EFT tapping is used as a gentle, body-based practice to support emotional regulation, reduce stress responses and increase present-moment awareness.
-
Mindfulness supports conscious awareness of thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations, allowing individuals to observe internal experiences without judgement or overwhelm.
-
Subconscious awareness invites insight into habitual patterns, beliefs and responses, supporting greater choice and flexibility rather than automatic reactivity.
Together, these methods create a holistic framework that supports self-awareness, emotional resilience and embodied regulation.
